Exchange
Partnerships, Academic Mobility and Fellowship Opportunities
The Leibniz ScienceCampus Europe and America fosters academic exchange through an international network of institutional partnerships and fellowship programmes supporting research mobility, collaboration and knowledge transfer.
Currently no open calls for incoming or outgoing fellowships.
Updates will be published here.
Partnerships
The Leibniz ScienceCampus Europe and America is funded by the Leibniz Association to promote collaboration between the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) and the University of Regensburg.
It brings together centres and institutions working in area studies across the disciplines to develop innovative and interdisciplinary research. The ScienceCampus also contributes to the internationalisation of research and teaching in Regensburg by supporting a network of institutional partnerships across Europe and the Americas.
Since the beginning of its second funding phase in October 2024, the ScienceCampus has expanded its network and established formal partnerships with further German institutions, including the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) in Leipzig and the Bundeswehr Centre for Military History and Social Sciences (ZMSBw) in Potsdam.
The partner network includes participating institutions in Regensburg, German partner institutions and international partner institutions. These collaborations support academic exchange, joint events, visiting fellowships, research mobility and long-term cooperation.
Participating Institutions in Regensburg
The ScienceCampus is rooted in a broad network of participating institutions in Regensburg, including research centres, graduate schools and university-based initiatives in area studies and related fields.
Partner Institutions
The international and German partner institutions form the wider exchange network of the ScienceCampus. They support collaborative research, incoming and outgoing fellowships and the development of joint academic initiatives.

Applicants should normally hold a PhD and be employed by one of the ScienceCampus partner institutions.
