Dr. Sébastien Tremblay examines the memory of persecutions of queer individuals under National Socialism, analyzing how symbols shaped collective remembrance across the Euro-American world. The talk explores both achievements in recognizing queerness within official memory and exclusions of certain queer experiences.

Based on his 2024 monograph on the pink triangle's role as a symbol of gay and lesbian identity. Tremblay is a research associate and lecturer at Europa-Universität Flensburg and an associated researcher in queer history at Goldsmiths, University of London.
