Susanne Schultz discusses how the concept of reproductive justice — developed by Black feminists in the 1990s — travels across contexts. Her research examines how the concept is being received and adopted by Black and popular feminist activism in Brazil.

Schultz is a sociologist and political scientist specializing in biopolitics, reproductive medicine, and Latin American social movements at the Institute of Sociology, Goethe University Frankfurt. Author of Reproductive Racism: Migration, Birth Control and the Specter of Population (2023).
